The National Botanic Gardens, Kilmacurragh, are open every day, all year round.
Notice for visitors to Kilmacurragh: “Wicklow County Council wishes to advise that road works will be taking place on the L-1113 at Kilmacurragh from Tuesday 8th June 2021. The expected duration of the works is 6 working days. The road will be closed, with local access only for residents and visitors attending Kilmacurragh Gardens. Diversions will be in place from 08:00 until 18:00 each day.”
The National Botanic Gardens of Ireland, Kilmacurragh is open daily from 9am to 5:00pm, with last entry to the garden at 4:30pm. The Acton Café is open for take-away coffees and food.
The estate arboretum, walks, and garden are open every day throughout the year except 25 December (Christmas Day). There is no admission fee to walk and explore.
The safety of visitors and staff is our priority, and to comply with Government Guidelines on social distancing we may need to close the garden at very busy times and when this happens, we will wait for some visitors to leave before allowing more to enter. Any groups wishing to use the gardens for learning activities (such as painting or photography) must call us first to arrange a time to visit and to learn more about the guidelines for group use.
Please note that the usual rules apply: dogs must be kept on a leash; no ball games are allowed, sports, bicycles, tricycles, scooters, or other vehicles (except wheelchairs); no kites or drones.
We will keep you all updated as we enter different phases of the Government’s Covid-19 plan.
