From Back to Berio, by Fidelio Trio Winter Chamber Music Festival

Enjoy Bach and Berio with our Guest Artist Francesco Paulo Scola (clarinet) and Featured Young Artist Angus McCall (cello) in a free concert presented in partnership with the National Botanic Gardens. Enjoy a walk through the iconic gardens followed by new and old music played by extraordinary world-class musicians in this special performance as the WCMF heads beyond its home at Belvedere House.

The artists at the helm of the lunchtime rendezvous are celebrated soloists with exceptional mastery at their craft. Francesco Paolo Scola is Principal Clarinet of the Ulster Orchestra and is joining the Fidelio Trio for Friday evening’s performance at the Winter Chamber Music Festival. Playing with many of Europe and the UK’s symphony orchestras, he has also recently collaborated with acclaimed Italian composer Giovanni Sollima. Angus McCall is a name to watch out for, working across the art form as soloist, chamber, and orchestral cellist. Upcoming highlights include a concerto performance with the Ulster Orchestra.

They will be playing two iconic pieces of solo repertoire that span from Baroque to modern-day classics.
