Heritage Week: Family Workshop Delve Deeper @ National Botanic Gardens, Glasnevin

Explore the natural world with the eyes of a child and the aid of a microscope! Families, join us this Heritage Week for an insightful workshop exploring the natural world as you’ve never seen before! Start with an exploratory walk in the Gardens, collecting specimens with our expert guides, then take an in-depth look at our newfound treasures using child-friendly handheld digital microscopes. This is a free event as part of Heritage Week 2022.

Heritage Week: Meet the Natives – Themed Tour @ National Botanic Gardens Glasnevin

As well as grand glasshouses and ornamental beds, the National Botanic Gardens also contains corners teeming with the wilder life – the flowers and plants which festoon meadows and hedgerows, providing food and shelter for all sorts of creatures. Meet the Natives, one of our themed tours for Heritage Week, takes us on a journey through the wildflowers of late summer, exploring their colours and scents, their names and uses, their variety and beauty, and their value as part of precious natural ecosystems.

Heritage Week: Drop-By Workshop – Seed Saving @ National Botanic Gardens Glasnevin
Aug 21 @ 11.00am – 12.00pm

Join us for some squishy seed saving for our Drop-By on Sunday the 21st and Tuesday the 23rd of August in the Children’s Garden as part of Heritage Week 2022.

Suitable from ages 4 and up. All children must bring their own grown up. No booking is needed. The drop-by is on from 11am to 12noon and from 3.30pm to 4.30pm.
