This year the National Botanic Gardens are embarking on an ambitious project for Heritage Week. We hope with the help of visitors to the gardens to produce an exhibition for this year’s Heritage Week theme ‘Routes, Networks and Connections’ entitled ‘Stories from the Gardens’. We want to hear and document these stories to highlight the incredible social history a site like the Gardens can create over many years, illustrating its importance locally, regionally, and nationally.
We prepared a special questionnaire where you can submit your story and add photos or details of any Botanic Gardens ephemera you may want to loan us for the duration of the exhibition. Alternatively, you can email your story and images to Joseph Lynch, the project manager. All the information gathered will be archived and used in the exhibition with a selection of the best stories forming the main part of the exhibit.
