09/05/2015. An estimated 100,000 people turned out for dawn walks for Pieta House's annual Darkness Into Light fundraising and awareness event. Families, friends, children, colleagues and even pets turned out in locations from Wicklow to Washington to walk in solidarity for suicide prevention. Melbourne and Perth were amongst the first cities to set off, with an estimated 4000 people walking in Australia. They were closely followed by London, Manchester and Glasgow where almost 1500 people walked in cities across the UK.
