Meet the beekeepers at this special weekend event in celebration of the welcome return of bees to the Botanic Gardens. As well as informative talks on the history of beekeeping, there will be an exhibition of live bees in an observation hive, a honey show, displays of beekeeping equipment, a children’s art competition and a demonstration of how honey is extracted from the honeycomb. The Parade will be lead out by beekeepers carrying the new arrivals (in their Hive of course) to their new home apiary in the walled Garden.
